CCKW Search - A PHP Based Search Engine
Yep, my latest free to all development seems to be taking the right path now so thought i'd release some information about the plans of what, where why.
Why Make One
Firstly... cos I can! Which is the reason I do most things, but on top of that I reckon a decent easy to use customisable php search engine and spider is required on the web. There are many around, but most tend to be slow or built in the year dot.com when programming in PHP was as messy as trying to splitting up with your partner.
What Will It Have
Firstly lets all be clear and understand Page Rank Algorithm is HUGE, a feature that many open source search engines seem to lack. I tend to tackle by studying not only the content, but page relations ship... this will give more meaningful results.
I plan to have as much customisation as possible... blacklists/ whitelists easy template and customisable algorithm that will allow users to tweek settings to create more unique results for there business.
Whats Next
Once I have something complete I will take the next step into searching other document types, Image Search etc..
I'm trying to donate money to a company for there charitable work throughout the world promoting freedom of speech. However it seems that paypal are refusing to process there payments, I hear that the reason was something to do with criminal activity which hasn't been shown to be valid, however i'm pretty sure paypal is used as the payment provided of a couple of major knock off shops `Ebay` and `China`.
